Campus West has a range of spaces for hire to suit a variety of events with a selection of intimate and larger spaces for live shows, product launches, conferences, motivational speaking and lectures. We also offer soft play, skate and bouncy castle birthday parties.
We have four Community Centres in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield available for hire for groups, classes or children's parties.
As you can imagine presenting live events takes time and effort and as such there is lot of information to take in. Here's everything you need to know about what we offer when hiring our spaces.
The Theatre/Screen 3
A 320 seat theatre purpose built and fully equipped. With the hire of The Theatre you get use of 5 dressing rooms and the Sheridan Studio.
The Sheridan Studio comes included with the theatre hire. It is can host up to 15 people and suitable for dance and rehearsals with its wooden floor and end to end mirror. It also has an adjoining kitchen.
Along with the Sheridan Studio we include up to 3 technical staff to support your event and the use of all the theatrical equipment we have to run a basic show. Anything special such as a smoke machine, follow spots, pyrotechnics and the like you will have to provide and operate yourself. We do not own follow spot lamps, as we use them so infrequently. The pair we do have on site we rent as they are used, if you wish to use them we can put you in touch with the company who own them.

As a cinema our Screen 3 it is fully equipped the the latest cinema projectors and sound.
Cinema Screen 2
A 115 seat purpose-built tiered cinema with full equipment. Screen 2 can sometimes be used as a performance space for small productions. Prices on application.
Cinema Screen 1
A 41 seat purpose-built tiered cinema with full equipment. There are no AV capabilities within this screen. Screen 1 cannot be used as a performance space. Prices on application.

How do I book?
- Complete the relevant application form
- We send you a price based on the information in the application form - it is detailed form as you would expect
- You agree the price
- We send you a contract for you to sign electronically
- Tickets can then go on sale

It is strongly recommended that you read this information and documents before you hire the theatre using the stage or as a performing space listed in Theatre/Screen 3 technical information and Campus West logos.
The use of each space requires the hirer to read and adhere to the Terms and Conditions of Hire - for all auditoria at Campus West.

Ticket sales
We can happily sell tickets for your event that take place at Campus West. The fee is 5% +VAT of what we sell for you through our ticking system either online, or face to face.
How does this work?
Once we have your signed contract tickets can go on sale
We will need:
- Show title
- Perf start times
- Estimated length of the performances
- Ticket prices along with any discount you are offering
- Sales information - anything about the show including the director etc.
- Planned on sale date for the tickets
- A single image sized to the following:
- Banner 3200 x 1800px
- Thumbnails 1600 x 1200px
- Carousel Banner 2100 x 900px
Marketing your event
We will happily add your event info to our website if we are selling the tickets. We suggest you direct all your customers to your website, then redirect with a link directly to your event, we will share the link once the show is set up on our website
We do not offer inclusion any listings or brochures. Marketing your event can be hard work, please don't underestimate the time and money that this takes

Community Centres that are managed by Campus West
The Centres can be used for two type of hires:
Community use - this generally includes regular weekly hires from church's groups, to dance schools and from educational groups to keep fit/dance classes
and
Children's birthday parties for 8's and unders
All our centers are in residential areas and we ask you to respect the neighbours.

Vineyard Barn, Welwyn Garden City, Herts AL8 7PU
- It has two halls, a shared kitchen, toilet facilities and a small car park.
- Room 1 is the larger hall and holds a maximum of 70 people.
- Room 2 with a capacity of 50 people is the smaller hall.
- Open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm, there are tables and chairs for you to use.
- No alcoholic drinks are allowed in the Vineyard Barn as the centre does not hold an alcohol licence.
Hazel Grove, Welwyn Garden City, Herts AL7 2DG
- It has one hall, a small kitchen, toilet facilities and some parking.
- There are no steps to access the Hazel Grove Community Centre.
- The Hall holds no more than 40 people. Open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm, there are tables and chairs for you to use.
- No alcoholic drinks are allowed in the Hazel Grove Community Centre as the centre does not hold an alcohol licence.
Panshanger Community Centre, Moors Walk, Welwyn Garden City, Herts AL7 2BQ
- It has two halls, toilet facilities and free car parking with NO kitchen facilities
- Room 1 is the larger hall and holds a maximum of 70 people.
- Room 2 with a capacity of 50 people is the smaller hall.
- Open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm.
- There are tables and chairs for you to use.
- No alcoholic drinks are allowed in Panshanger Community Centre as it does not hold an alcohol licence.
The use of each community centre requires the hirer to read and adhere to these Terms and Conditions of Room Hire - for all community centres hire.

Roller City, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL8 6BX
Roller City can also be hired on a regulars basis depending on availability.
There is a seated area and a raised balcony. Roller City is available for skate parties and skate-themed events requiring private hire as well as community activities.
Roller City hires are also required to read and adhere to the Roller City Terms and Conditions of Hire.

Hilltop Community Centre, The Downs, Hatfield, Herts AL10 8JP managed by The Hive, Hatfield.
The newly refurbished community centre in south Hatfield is versatile and well-equipped and features a spacious main hall, kitchen, storage room and changing facilities. Open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm. No alcoholic drinks are allowed in the Hilltop Community Centre as it does not hold an alcohol licence.
